Labuschagne confirmed as only change

As first broken by The Nightwatchman, Marnus Labuschagne has been added to the squad ahead of the Fourth test by Australia at the SCG.

Marnus Labuschagne celebrates his shock selection in the SCG Test (actually celebrating a wicket in the UAE vs Pakistan).

With India's win at the MCG they will retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, however history waits the tourists with an elusive series win a draw or win away. The addition of Labuschagne to the squad, it would appear the Australian selectors will make a change to the playing eleven for the spin friendly track in Sydney, with Mitch Marsh to be the likely omission. However, Marsh's only reprieve will be if selectors chose to open with Usman Khawaja, or Shaun Marsh, at the expense of Victorian Aaron Finch who has only scored 97 runs at 16.16 so far in the series. Just a couple of blokes with their take on the day of cricket.

The nightwatchman is for those budding cricket analysts, commentators, writers and bloggers to have their opportunity to get their written pieces more audience. Many of us area amateur writers with our own careers and family life taking up most of our days, however, we have always found time to write about the pressing issues in cricket that matter most to us, after dark, well after play. This is why we are the nightwatchman.
