Pat Cummins has led an unexpected Australian fightback late on Day Three to have India slumped to 4-32 with Cummins picking up Vihari, Pujara, Kohli and Rahane, with Cummins current figures 4-3 off 4 overs, including 2 maidens.

Pat Cummins celebrates one of his four top order wickets.

Australia will need to continue this second innings fightback to have any chance of either saving the test or potentially winning, with the highest ever fourth innings chase 418 by the West Indies against Australia back in 2002/03.

Just a couple of blokes with their take on the day of cricket.

The nightwatchman is for those budding cricket analysts, commentators, writers and bloggers to have their opportunity to get their written pieces more audience. Many of us area amateur writers with our own careers and family life taking up most of our days, however, we have always found time to write about the pressing issues in cricket that matter most to us, after dark, well after play. This is why we are the nightwatchman.
